Dî Rihochû Kîchyà

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà (/dɪː/ /riˈhoʧʊ/ [black] [excitement]) is a subtropical Town located in Gletpokusi Zone, S̺âho Chyæmû Empire, within the Warrenese Shogunate.

The name Dî Rihochû Kîchyà is derived from the Wareneese language, as Dî Rihochû Kîchyà was founded by Gersel Glkdshe, who was culturaly Wareneese.

Climate

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà has a yearly average temperature of 16°C (60°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 4°C (39°F). Dî Rihochû Kîchyà receives an average of 76 cm/y (29 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Dî Rihochû Kîchyà was founded durring the late 12th century in fall of the year 1092, by Gersel Glkdshe. The establishment of Dî Rihochû Kîchyà suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà was built using the conventions of Wareneese durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Dî Rihochû Kîchyà is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà is is constructed arround a series of crampt cobblestone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Dî Rihochû Kîchyà 's timber-based walls are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife.

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Cultural Notes

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà 's locals are divided into several castes. They may be organized by social role, by imputed nobility of birth, by ethnic origins, or any other dividing principle, but they cannot imagine any other way of organizing themselves. A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà 's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.

In Dî Rihochû Kîchyà sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.

The Cloud Dragon, Wyrmling near Dî Rihochû Kîchyà are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Dî Rihochû Kîchyà 's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves line dance to channel Summoning energies of tier 3 via divine sermons.
